Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Hiroyo Matsumoto wins Sendai Girls juniors tournament
Sendai Girls concluded their Jaja Uma tournament for juniors on their June 27 Zepp Sendai show. Of course the big question is will a Sendai Girls wrestler win the tournament. Well, we're going to find out. Tyrannosaurus Okuda greeted fans and apologized for losing the JWP Junior Title but she's going to go all out today to win. The opener had Mika Mizunuma, Misaki Ohata & Pinkie Mayuca vs Kana, Hanako Kobayashi & Minori Makiba. It starts as a sprint as Mayuca & Kobayashi exchange dropkicks. Mizunuma & Makiba tag in and exchange tackles. Makiba is beaten down by all three. Mayuca applies a camel clutch. All three stomp Makiba and Ohata applies a sleeper. Kobayashi tags in and all three pound Ohata. She tries to dropkick all three. Kobayashi hits a body attack and Ohata fires back. Kana tags in and hits a hip attack. Ohata is thrown across the ring and tags Mayuca. She hits Kana with a hip attack and a back DDT. Makiba tags in and applies an armbar on Mayuca. Mayuca brings Makiba to her corner and tags Mizunuma and Makiba gets a 3 on 1 beatdown. Ohata hits a flying body press and Mizunuma follows with a lariat, a blockbuster, a top rope body press, a brainbuster and a finisher that doesn't translate but it looks like she picked her up in a bear hug and then dropped her in a power bomb like move for the win at 12:20. One fan said that Mizunuma has improved since her dressing down by Aja Kong.
Next is the first tournament semi final with Ryo Mizunami vs Ayako Sato. They begin with chain wrestling. Mizunami has a clear power advantage. She gets Sato in a sleeper. Sato comes back with stomps and Mizunami responds with elbows and a body ram followed by a double toe hold. Sato reaches the ropes and then hits a dropkick. They exchange elbows and Sato hits three guillotine leg drops followed by a dropkick and a shoulder tackle for two. Sato gets an Achilles hold and Mizunami reaches the ropes. They exchange shoulder attacks and then Sato gets a neck clutch. Sato hits a missile dropkick for two. They circle each other. Mizunami hits a tackle followed by a uranage. She goes to the top and hits a guillotine legdrop to the back of Sato's neck for the win at 11:46.
The second tournament semi final was between Tyrannosaurus Okuda & Hiroyo Matsumoto. They exchange elbows and Okuda hits a neck throw followed by a surfboard. Matsumoto comes back with a body press and a camel clutch. Okuda responds with a camel clutch. Okuda wraps Matsumoto's arm in the top rope and stomps followed by an elbow, a knee and two dropkicks. Matsumoto hits a tackle followed by a knee to the waist. Matsumoto hits a missile dropkick and stomps Okuda followed by a back elbow for two. Okuda comes back with three jumping knees and two missile dropkicks. Then a German suplex and two more jumping knees. Matsumoto responds a tackle and a kneedrop from the top rope. Okuda hits a jumping knee but Matsumoto hits an exploder suplex for two. Matsumoto throws Okuda into the ropes and hits a back elbow followed by a backdrop for the win at 14:42. Okuda was taken to the hospital with a concussion and missed the June 29 house show. Hopefully she'll return for next month's show.
Sendai Girls announced that OZ Academy will visit Sendai for the July 27 Zepp Sendai show. Hiren will face Chikayo Nagashima in the main event but the big news is the debut of new trainee Yukari Ishino in an exhibition match against Tyrannousaurus Okuda. She turned 16 on June 24. She's from Osaka, is 158cm tall and weighs 60kg. She's cute too. Check out this pic. Other matches are DASH Chisako & Sendai Sachiko vs Mayumi Ozaki & KAORU, Tyrannosaurus Okuda vs Carlos Amano and Ryo Mizunami vs Sonoko Kato. Of course we don't know if Okuda will be recovered from her concussion. And there's no indication about when Meiko Satomura will return. All she says is soon but she's still wearing an eye patch so I dunno.
Next up is DASH Chisako, Sendai Sachiko & Hiren vs Arisa Nakajima, Io Shirai & Mio Shirai. Io begins by flipping the bird at Hiren. Hiren hits a dropkick and Io is triple teamed. Hiren hits a body ram and tags Chisako. Chisako follows a neck throw with a sleeper. Io hits a dropkick and tags Nakajima. Nakajima's neck throw is followed by a figure four head scissors and three dropkicks. Chisako applies a camel clutch and tags Sachiko. Sachiko stomps but Nakajima comes back with a facebuster and a body ram. She tags Mio and Sachiko is triple teamed in the corner. Mio repeatedly knees her and tags Nakajima. Sachiko hits a tackle and exchanges elbows. Nakajima hits a body press and an elbow. Sachiko comes back with knees and dropkicks for two. Nakajima's dropkick is followed by a swinging DDT and a double arm suplex. Hiren tags in and is triple teamed with kicks and dropkicks. The Shirai sisters hold Hiren for a Nakajima missile dropkick. Io hits several dropkicks and a body slam but Hiren comes back with an ankle lock. Sachiko tags in and hits several dropkicks and stomping followed by an elbow battle. Mio tags in and kicks Sachiko followed by an STO. Chisako tags in and Mio hits a high kick followed by more kicks in the corner and a moonsault press. Sachiko tags in and the Sendai Girls divide and conquer. The result has Sachiko hitting a roaring senton on Mio followed by a German suplex combined with a Hiren high kick for the win at 16:25.
Now it's time for the tournament final with Ryo Mizunami vs Hiroyo Matsumoto. After a staredown, we have a test of strength and Mizunami gets a sleeper. They exchange elbows and tackles. Matsumoto misses a tackle and lands in the corner. Mizunami hits three guillotines followed by a diving shoulder tackle from the second rope. Matsumoto hits a missile dropkick and an elbow drop from the second rope for two. Mizunami hits a diving guillotine leg drop followed by a tackle, another legdrop, a uranage and a shoulder block from the second rope. But Mizunami misses a diving guillotine legdrop and Matsumoto hits a backdrop suplex. Matsumoto hits several back elbows and wins with a backdrop suplex from the second rope at 13:53. So congratulations to Hiroyo Matsumoto for winning the Jama Uma Tournament and I guess she gets that flag too.
