Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Three women's matches announced for May 19 UFC show
Yesterday the UFC announced they will go to Santiago, Chile for the first time May 19 at the Movistar Arena. This show will be on Fox Sports 1 and TSN. I wrote about Syuri Kondo vs Poliana Botelho last week because Syuri confirmed it on her Twitter. The other two matches are Alexa Grasso vs Tatiana Suarez at Strawweight and Andrea Lee vs Veronica Macedo at Flyweight. This is a tough fight for Alexa. She is seen to have potential but I think she's a limited fighter. She's mostly a striker and I think her loss to Felice Herrig showed her limitations. She did win her last fight over Randa Markos by split decision. Tatiana win TUF 23. But she injured her knee. On her return, she won over Viviane Pereira by unanimous decision. Tatiana is 24 years old from California. I think she's a more complete fighter than Alexa so I would favor Tatiana. Andrea is making her delayed UFC debut after a run at Invicta and LFA. Her debut was delayed because she wasn't in the USADA testing pool long enough. Andrea is very popular because she has a ton of charisma and like Felice Herrig, she really knows how to market herself. We just have to see what she is like in the UFC. Veronica is from Venezuela but she lives in Poland. She's 22 years old. She made her UFC debut as a late replacement and she lost to Ashlee Evans-Smith in Bantamweight Sept. 2016. Since then she has been injured and now she has dropped to Flyweight. I think she's undersized for Bantamweight. I doubt that she is a UFC caliber fighter but we'll find out on May 19.
