Song:Let Go
Album:Introducing DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet
Here's a great song that topped the gospel charts in 2006. DeWayne Woods looked like he was going to be a big star. He still records and performs but he is also an in demand producer. He was born Nov. 9, 1975 in Kansas City, MO. He started out working with John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir and he was also in The Company. Woods also got into behind the scenes work first as a backup singer then as a songwriter and producer. Then he was a featured singer with Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers. Woods released an album independently in 2003. And this led to a deal with Verity Records. The 2006 album Introducing DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet was his major label debut. The success of Let Go and the album earned Woods a Stellar award as Male Vocalist of the Year. Let Go was written and produced by PJ Morton who is a very successful artist in his own right. Woods released the 2010 album My Life's Lyric and then Verity went through a lot of changes. It is now called RCA Inspiration. Introducing DeWayne Woods is available as a digital download. In 2015, Woods released the album Life Lessons on his own label. But mainly he has been an in demand producer for Byron Cage among others. You may have heard the controversy about Woods going on Christian TV claiming God healed him from HIV. I dunno about that but I know he's a great singer and he should have a major label record deal. Here's the video for Let Go by DeWayne Woods.
