Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Ashlee Evans-Smith vs Bec Rawlings added to Apr. 7 UFC show
Last night Mark La Monica of Newsday reported that Ashlee Evans- Smith vs Bec Rawlings has been added to UFC 223 Apr. 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. This fight will be at Flyweight. This is an example of fighters moving from other weight classes because they are losing. There are legit reasons to change weight classes but that won't eliminate ineptitude. Ashlee is 30 years old. She trains with Carla Esparza at Team Oyama in California. Her record is 5-3 but she is 2-3 in the UFC. She hasn't looked good even when she wins. She started her career fighting at 145 and she dropped to 135 to join the UFC. Dropping to 125 isn't going to make her a better fighter. The only thing is Bec may be worse than her. Bec is 28 years old from Brisbane, Australia and she trains at Alliance in San Diego. Her record is 7-7 and she is 2-4 in the UFC. She was fighting at Strawweight. Will an easier weight cut make her a better fighter? I don't think that is her problem. I think injuries have slowed her down so much that she can't keep up with anyone. That was apparent in her most recent loss to Jessy Jess Clark in Dec. And I didn't think she was very good in the first place. So whoever loses this fight may be on that one way trip to Palookaville.
