Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Sijara Eubanks vs Lauren Murphy added to June 1 UFC show
The Utica Observer Dispatch reported yesterday that Sijara Eubanks vs Lauren Murphy has been added to the June 1 UFC show at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, NY. This will a fight night show on Fox Sports 1. This fight is supposed to be at Flyweight. Both of these fighters were in TUF 26. Sijara was supposed to be in the title fight. But she couldn't make weight and she had trouble making weight during the show. I wouldn't let her fight at 125. And I don't understand why the UFC is letting her do that especially with weight cutting being such a hot button topic. What if she misses weight and the fight is scrapped. It's not worth the risk. Sijara was in Invicta before she came to the UFC. She's an OK fighter. Obviously if she wins this fight, she gets a title shot. So I understand why she would want to fight at 125. She might not get another title shot. But the UFC shouldn't allow it. Lauren was also in TUF 26. She lost in the first round to eventual winner Nicco Montano. Then she actually beat Barb Honchak by split decision at the TUF 26 Finale. There were several last minute changes on that show including that fight. She seems to be the kind of fighter who tries to do as little as possible and still win. Of course that's a double edged sword because of the judges. And then she whines when she loses close fights. Fighters like her are the reason you don't leave it to the judges. My guess is this fight has a good chance of not happening at all.
