Ann Harada has been a Broadway regular since she played Christmas Eve in the 2000 musical Avenue Q. That's the show with the puppets. She's appeared in several other long running shows including this 2013 revival of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella as one of the stepsisters Charlotte. She was born Feb. 3, 1964 in Honolulu, HI. She was active in theater in high school. After studying at Brown University, she moved to New York City and earned her Actor's Equity card in 1987. Ann's big break came when she earned the role of Christmas Eve in the 2000 musical Avenue Q. Lyricist Amanda Green recommended Ann to Avenue Q writers Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. She's appeared in several productions of the show including in London. She has also appeared in Les Miserables (2006-07), 9 to 5 (2009), Oliver! (2012) and Into the Woods (2022-23). The 2013 production of Cinderella starred Laura Osnes as Cinderella and Santino Fontana as The Prince. The show opened March 2013 and closed January 2015. So it did very well. Ann continues to appear regularly on the New York stage. She hasn't done a lot of film and TV. Though she was a regular on the AppleTV+ musical spoof series Schmigadoon!. Since that show was canceled, it was turned into a stage musical and Ann is appearing in that. Here's Ann Harada performing Stepsisters' Lament on Live! with Kelly and Michael July 24,2013.
