Here's the match video of Cynthia Calvillo vs Cortney Casey from last night's UFC show in Phoenix. But first Jessica Penne vs Jodie Esquibel was cancelled yesterday. Jessica missed weight but it was cancelled after Jessica was working out yesterday and she sprained her ankle. Unbelievable!!! Now on to this fight. It was awful. Cynthia won by unanimous decision. I scored it a draw. Round one was so bad I scored it 9-9. That means neither of them did much of anything. Judges don't usually score tie rounds but maybe they should sometimes. And if they're not doing anything, the ref can warn them. They were so cautious. Neither wanted to make a mistake. The other two rounds weren't much better. But at least there was enough that I could tell you who won the round. I scored round two 10-9 for Cynthia and round three 10-9 for Cortney. So I scored the fight a draw. Two of the judges scored it 29-28 and the third scored it 30-27 for Cynthia. Afterwards, Cynthia called out Tatiana Suarez who has a fight coming up. If Tatiana wins, I expect her to get a title shot. Check out the video for yourself.
