AccuRadio Song Of The Day-Brad Paisley

Artist:Brad Paisley
Song:The World
Album:Hits Alive

Brad Paisley has had a total of 18 number one country hits including The World in 2005. He's faded a little bit but he is still one of the biggest stars in country music. He was born Oct. 28, 1972 in Glen Dale, WV. His grandfather gave him his first guitar when Paisley was eight years old and taught him to play. He had a band as a teen. A local radio station asked him to appear on the show Jamboree USA and he stayed for eight years. Paisley attended Belmont University in Nashville on an ASCAP scholarship. While there, he met his future producer Frank Rogers and songwriting partner Kelley Lovelace. After graduating, he signed a songwriting deal with EMI Music Publishing and then a record deal with Arista Records. He Didn't Have To Be was his first number one country hit in 1999 and he won the CMA Horizon award. As I said, he has had 18 number one hits so he has had a lot of success. The World is from Paisley's 2005 CD Time Well Wasted. It was the third single from that album. Paisley wrote The world with Kelley Lovelace and Lee Thomas Miller who also wrote the Trace Adkins #1 hit You're Gonna Miss This. You can get it on this 2CD comp Hits Alive. The first CD is a hits CD and the second is a live CD. So it's a good intro to Paisley's music. Paisley's latest CD Wheelhouse was released in April. The album topped the Country Album chart but it hasn't sold as well as previous albums and none of the three singles topped the charts. So maybe Paisley is fading a bit. He toured this past summer. Paisley will co-host this Wednesday's CMA Awards with Carrie Underwood. Brad Paisley is married to actress Kimberly Williams. They have two sons. He saw her in Father Of The Bride and got her to appear in one of his videos. They married in 2003. Here's the video for The World by Brad Paisley.
