PANCRASE announced today that Monica Lovato was injured in a car accident and is out of her match against Emi Fujino on the May 19 Differ Ariake show. They didn't have to go far to find a new opponent. Amber Brown trains at FIT NHB in New Mexico and is a teammate of Lovato and Brenda Gonzalez. The problem is her record is 2-0 so she is very inexperienced compared to Fujino. If this fight was happening in the US, most state athletic commissions would probably not sanction it due to the large discrepancy in pro fight experience. She might be a good fighter. Who knows? It's a good example of why regulation is a positive thing. Japanese promoters pull this kind of stuff all the time and there is no governing body to tell them to knock it off.
