Here's a pretty good video clip that NEO has produced to hype the main event of next Sunday's Korakuen Hall show. Yoshiko Tamura will defend the NEO Singles & NWA Pacific Titles against Ayumi Kurihara. Of course these two are currently NEO Tag Team Champs. And of course that was Ayumi's first title. So as you can see, she gets very emotional when she talks about it on the video. With NEO closing and Tamura retiring, the titles don't mean much. But it would mean something to put Ayumi over decisively on the main event of a Korakuen Hall. Because of the usual selfishness of joshi wrestlers and promoters, I would normally be very skeptical about this. But on this occasion, I think the usual suspects understand that Ayumi's star power has potential to transcend joshi puroresu. For the good of the future of the joshi business, Ayumi Kurihara must be put over on this show. Enjoy the video.
