Well, we got some good news last week when Ayumi Kurihara returned to action from a broken collarbone and appeared on the main event of the Michiko Ohmukai retirement show. She was scheduled to work the New Year's Eve Junior All Star War. But Kurihara announced today that she is going to have surgery to repair the injury. So she will have to cancel all future appearances. Ayumi was hoping she wouldn't need surgery but her doctor has told her that it's not going to any better without surgery. Estimated recovery time is from six months to a year. You never know about these things but Kurihara says she will train hard to rehab as quickly as possible and plans to return to the ring sometime during 2008.
