Yolanda Adams is a very popular gospel artist from Houston. Elektra Records president Sylvia Rhone signed Adams in an effort to market her to a secular audience. But she told Yolanda not to change her music. The result was that 1999's Mountain High, Valley Low was a huge crossover hit especially the hit Open Your Heart. Several producers worked on the album. The wonderful R & B singer Kelly Price brought in her production team and did a great job on He'll Arrive. I was not a big Yolanda Adams fan but Mountain High, Valley Low was her best album to date and succeeded in reaching a wider audience.
