Here's the match video of Io Shirai defending her NXT Women's Championship against Rhea Ripley. I watched this live using a stream and my Roku player. This was a hard hitting match with some crazy bumps. At the first commercial break, Io took a face first bump on the apron. During the break, it was made to look like Io might not be able to continue. After watching the replay, Io got her hands up for the bump. So I don't think she was really injured. It was just time killing during the break. Io works on Rhea's shoulder and drops her shoulder first on the apron. When Rhea attempts her Riptide finisher, Io turns it into a DDT. A basement dropkick busts open Rhea's ear. That happens sometimes with cauliflower ears. So the end comes when Io powerbombs Rhea through the announce table. Commentary is amazed that Io can lift Rhea. It just shows how strong Io is. After Rhea barely beats a count out, Io hits her moonsault for the win. As I said, this match is well worth watching. I wouldn't mind if Rhea moves up to RAW as I know Asuka really wants to work with her. Enjoy the video!
