Here's the match video of Hikaru Shida defending her AEW Women's Championship against Nyla Rosefrom last night's Full Gear show. Vicki Guerrero was in Nyla's corner. After many complaints about the lack of build for this match, Cody claimed that not all matches need a story. This is nonsense and he knows it. And then he claimed that Hikaru is the best wrestler in the company. Then why is she rarely on TV? Actions speak louder than words. This match is pretty good. Hikaru starts out great. But then Vicki hits her in the knee with a kendo stick. And that gives Nyla the edge for most of the match. But she can't put Hikaru away. Meanwhile Vicki yells at Nyla. Obviously Nyla should be able to overpower Hikaru because of the size difference. But Hikaru is much stronger than she looks. A Falcon Arrow from the top rope followed by several knee strikes and Hikaru retains the title. Afterwards Vicki yells at Nyla. I don't know where that is going. Hikaru looked great so be sure to watch the video.
