Here's the match video of Io Shirai vs Deonna Purrazzo from this week's episode of the Mae Young Classic. Deonna is an experienced wrestler so the match was reasonably competitive. I know some fans really like her. I guess she's OK but I'm not crazy about her. Deonna got her armbar finisher on Io a couple of times but Io wouldn't tap out. Io did sell her left shoulder again. After Io escaped the second armbar, she put Deonna in a position for the moonsault. She almost missed it but I think Io is getting used to the larger ring. Io will face Rhea Ripley in the semi final.
