Album:Greatest Hits
Little Texas had a good run on the country charts in the early 90s. They had a total of eight top ten hits including one number one hit. Little Texas was formed in 1988. Lead singer Tim Rushlow and guitarist Dwayne O'Brien are from Arlington, TX. Rushlow moved to Nashville and he met guitarist Porter Howell and bassist Duane Propes at Belmont University. Keyboard player Brady Seals and drummer Del Gray were backing up singer Josh Logan. Rushlow, O'Brien, Howell and Propes had a band called The Varsities playing Opryland. When a couple of members left, they asked Seals and Gray to join. They met them on the road. Little Texas signed with Warner Bros. in 1989. Their debut album First Time For Everything was released in 1991. The singles Some Guys Gave All The Love and You and Forever and Me were top ten country hits. Their 1993 album Big Time did even better. It was certified 2XPlatinum and My Love was their only number one hit. Seals left to go solo and was replaced by Jeff Huskins from Clint Black's band. The 1994 album Kick A Little was certified Platinum and the single Kick A Little reached #5 on the Country Singles chart. They had a couple more top ten hits and that was it. They split up after the 1997 album Little Texas. You can get all their hits on this comp. Tim Rushlow signed with Atlantic and scored a top ten hit with She Misses Him in 2000. The other members of Little Texas reunited in 2004 and they still tour. They released an album in 2015. O'Brien is now the lead singer. Here's the video for Kick A Little by Little Texas.
