Here's the match video of Johnny Gargano and Candice Lerae vs Io Shirai and Damian Priest. This match is a setup for Sunday's NXT Takeover show. Io is defending her NXT Women's Championship against Candice and Priest is defending his NXT North American Championship Gargano. The WWE is making a big deal about Mr. and Mrs. Gargano with the titles. I was interested to see what kind of crazy stuff Io would do in this match. Fans asked me if Io has done mixed matches. This is her first one in NXT and Stardom doesn't do mixed matches much. She did a lot of them when she lived in Mexico. Io's first big move in this match was climbing on Priest's shoulders and diving to the floor on Mr. and Mrs. Gargano. She also hits her moonsault on Gargano. The Garganos win when the ref is distracted and Candice low blows Priest. Then they grab the title belts. That's the visual the WWE wants to leave you with going off the air. With the draft coming up on Monday, title changes are possible. Mr. and Mrs. Gargano are staying in NXT. Io moving up to the main roster is a possibility. I'm not a fan of mixed matches but this isn't bad. Check it out.
