Here's the match video of Holly Holm vs Irene Aldana from last night's UFC show in Abu Dhabi. It's possible that the winner of this fight is headed for a Bantamweight title shot. Irene knocked out Ketlen Vieira with one punch in her last fight. There's always an overreaction to something like that. She needed to show me that it wasn't a fluke. Holly is mainly a counterpuncher. She has had mixed success she was Bantamweight Champion. That title is why this match was the main event. The problem with this fight was Irene kept circling in one direction. And when that didn't work she didn't make any adjustments. As a result, Holly won easily. It wasn't even close. I scored it 50-45 for Holly. Irene's problem came down to poor coaching. She wasn't given any kind of direction. She trains at Lobo Gym in Guadalajara, Mexico with Alexa Grasso. Lobo is owned by Alexa's father and the coach is Alexa's brother Francisco Grasso. I think these girls need better coaching to become elite fighters. But because it's family, I doubt they will ever get it. Because Amanda Nunes will defend her UFC Featherweight Championship first, I think we might see a couple contender matches first. Holly says she's up for that but her manager Lenny Fresquez usually handles that. Enjoy the video!
