Here's the match video of Hikaru Shida vs Leyla Hirsch from this week's episode of AEW Dark. Leyla is billed as from Russia. She was born there but she was adopted and grew up in New Jersey. She wrestled in high school and her amateur wrestling background is her gimmick. Obviously she has some wrestling skills but she lacks pizzazz. And like it or not, showmanship is an important part of pro wrestling. The match is OK but I think Hikaru lets Leyla have too much offense. Hikaru wins with the Falcon Arrow. She will defend her AEW Women's Championship against Nyla Rose on Nov. 7. Enjoy the video!
