AccuRadio Song Of The Day-Lil Suzy

Artist:Lil Suzy
Song:Take Me in Your Arms
Album:Love Can't Wait

Suzanne "Lil Suzy" Casale was twelve years old when Take Me In Your Arms was a dance club hit in 1991. It turned out to be her biggest hit. She was born Mar. 1, 1979 in Brooklyn, NY. She was five years old when an agent spotted her singing covers at a club in Manhattan Beach, CA. She opened shows for Thelma Houston and The Village People. She appeared on Star Search in 1987 and then released the single Randy on Fever Records in 1988. Then she signed with Tony Garcia's High Power label with Warlock Records distribution. Garcia started out as a street DJ in New York in the late 70s. He started his own label in 1986. He released his own music and produced other Freestyle artists until he worked with Lil Suzy. Garcia wrote and produced most of Lil Suzy's 1991 album I Can't Wait including Take Me In Your Arms. It was a big dance floor hit and it reached #67 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lil Suzy recorded the 1994 album Back To Dance with Garcia. But when it wasn't a success, she left and started her own label. I Can't Wait is available on CD. Beware of any Lil Suzy Greatest Hits comps as they are re-recorded versions. Lil Suzy released two albums on her own label distributed by Metropolitan Records. She charted on the dance charts with the 1994 single Promise Me, the 1997 single Can't Get You Out Of My Mind and the 1998 single I Still Love You. Though Lil Suzy still performs and records occasionally, she has owned a hair salon in Staten Island since 2000. Here's the video of Take Me In Your Arms by Lil Suzy.
