Artist:Joseph Habedank
Song:Shame on Me
Album:Deeper Oceans
Joseph Habedank was the lead singer of the Southern Gospel group The Perrys. Since leaving that group, he has had success with the 2018 album Deeper Oceans and singles like Shame on Me. He was born Sept 16, 1985 in Painesville, OH. He first surfaced as a member of The Greenes. Then he joined The Perrys in 2008. They had been around since the 80s. So it was a good training ground for him. Habedank developed an ulcer in his throat and he started taking pain medication which became an addiction. After marrying his wife in 2010, the addiction got worse. The low point was when he was fired from The Perrys in 2013. Habedank called a counsellor and he sent him to MusiCares which is run by the Grammys and they help music industry folks and they paid for his treatment. Upon his recovery, Habedank signed with Daywind Records and released the 2018 album Deeper Oceans. The album did very well and so did the single Shame on Me. Habedank was nominated for a Grammy and several Dove awards. Habedank wrote all the songs with co-writers including producer Wayne Haun. After three albums for Daywind, Habedank was moved to their New Day label for his 2024 album Autobiography. The bottom line is he got his career back and things are going well. Here's the video for Shame on Me by Joseph Habedank.
