Here's the match video of Irene Aldana vs Yana Kunitskaya from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. I don't think either fighter is good enough to challenge Amanda Nunes for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. But the winner of this fight may get that opportunity. Irene trains at Lobo in Guadalajara, Mexico owned by Alexa Grasso's father. She lost her last fight to Holly Holm. She did not look good. And she missed weight for this fight. Irene is mainly a boxer. Yana is from Saint Petersburg, Russia but she now trains at ATT in Florida with her UFC fighter boyfriend Thiago Moises. She won her last fight. It was an undeserved judges gift. I don't like either of them. I guess the bottom line is Irene got on top of Yana and finished her with strikes in round one. For a while it looked like she was gonna screw it up and let Yana off the hook. I don't expect Irene to get a title shot. Possible opponents include Aspen Ladd and Germaine de Randamie.
