Hillsong Young & Free is yet another spinoff of the famed Hillsong Church in Australia aimed at young believers. Wait a minute. Don't they already have a youth oriented group called Hillsong United. They do but Hillsong Young & Free is electropop based. After the success of Hillsong United, some members of Hillsong's youth ministry thought they could do a new electropop group aimed at an even younger audience. Where You Are is from the 2016 album Youth Revival. It was Hillsong Young & Free's second album. The lead singer is Aodhan King. Along with Alexander Pappas, King is one of the leaders of Hillsong Young & Free. They wrote Where You Are with Michael Fatkin and Benjamin Hastings who wrote several songs on the album. The album was nominated for a Grammy. As far as the music goes, if I didn't already know it was CCM music, it's not really much different from mainstream electropop. Obviously they are trying to hook listeners with the sound. Then they hit you with the message. This is why Hillsong is successful. Here's the video for Where You Are by Hillsong Young & Free.
