Here's the match video of Lauren Murphy vs Mara Romero Borella from yesterday's UFC show in Newark, NJ. This fight was at Flyweight. Both fighters are known to be ineffective. Neither of them does enough to win fights. And that's what the first two rounds of this fight were like. It was more like dancing than fighting. They stay at a distance and neither lands anything. I gave Mara round one 10-9 as she was marginally more effective. The second round was even worse with a lot of clinching on the fence and I thought it was 9-9. And then in the third round, Mara gets into an awkward position. She's bent over but not down. Lauren lands a knee to the side of her head and it's over. Lauren wins by TKO. Well, her nickname is Lucky. Obviously Lauren needed a win but it doesn't make me think she can beat anyone good. Enjoy the video!
