Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Tonya Evinger vs Marion Reneau added to Feb. 18 UFC show
Danny Segura of MMA Fighting reported and the UFC confirmed yesterday that Tonya Evinger vs Marion Reneau has been added to UFC Fight Night 126 Feb. 18 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. This show will air on Fox Sports 1 in the US and TSN in Canada. Of course Tonya has been around for years. She was the Invicta Bantamweight Champion. She finally got into the UFC by moving up to Featherweight to take a beating from Cris Cyborg. This fight will be at Bantamweight. She lives in Houston which is why she is on this show. Tonya looked terrible when she tried out for TUF 18. Then she got annoyed when the UFC didn't call her to be a late replacement. So she wasn't planning to come to the UFC. Now that she's there, we'll see how she stacks up against the rest of the Bantamweight division. At 40 years old, Marion is the oldest fighter in the division. She first came to the UFC as a late replacement in 2015. Her record is 8-3-1 and she is 4-2-1 in the UFC. She's inconsistent at best. At times she has looked good but not at other times. In her fight against Bethe Correia, Marion lost the first two rounds and then won the third round 10-8 to get a draw. So the inconsistency was in the same fight. I don't know why she is like that. But it's not a good thing as it relegates her to gatekeeper status. I think many believe that Tonya is a potential champ. So if Marion wins, it moves her up the rankings significantly. I see Tonya as the favorite despite being new to the UFC.
