Combate in Brazil first reported and MMA Fighting confirmed that Livia Renata Souza vs Jessica Aguilar has been added to UFC Fight Night 126 Feb. 18 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. Of course Livia is the former Invicta Strawweight champ making her UFC debut. She's 26 years old from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her record is 11-1. Her one loss was by split decision to Angela Hill. When I heard the UFC signed Livia, I thought they might do a rematch. Livia is a good fighter and if she can avoid overconfidence, she has a good chance to go up the Strawweight ladder very quickly. When she lost to Angela, I thought Livia took her lightly. She has to watch that. Jessica is a veteran fighter who may have to head into the sunset soon. She's 0-2 in the UFC and she has had knee surgery and before that a broken foot. At 35 years old, she really needs a win or it may be time for her to retire. Jessica is the gatekeeper in this fight. It won't be easy. We all know what Livia can do. She just has to avoid beating herself.
