Here's the match video of Ketlen Vieira vs Cat Zingano from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. This was Cat's return to the cage after two years off. She lost her last two fights before that. She was an elite fighter but at 35 years old, she may not be one anymore. Cat trains at Alliance in San Diego. Ketlen trains at Nova Uniao in Brazil. In her last fight, she choked out Sara McMann. A win here could launch her into the title picture. She had a significant size advantage. I thought Ketlen won the fight handily. I gave her all three rounds. The judges gave her a win by split decision. We saw a lot of that on last night's show because of incompetent judges like Adelaide Byrd and Marcos Rosales who don't know what they are looking at. I don't think there were any bad decisions but several fights that should have been unanimous decisions were split decisions. So it wasn't that the fights were close. It's the result of one idiot judge. Judge competency is a big problem in Nevada that should be addressed but they probably won't do anything. The bottom line is Ketlen is on the way up and Cat should probably retire but who knows. Enjoy the video!
