Song:Marry Me
Album:Life Changes
Thomas Rhett is one of today's biggest country music stars. He has released three albums and all have done very well and he has had several hit singles. He was born Mar. 30, 1990 in Valdosta, GA the son of 90s country music star Rhett Akins. So obviously he grew up wanting to be like his dad. He had a band in high school. While attending Lipscomb University in Nashville, Rhett signed a publishing deal with Big Machine. So he started out writing songs like the 2010 Jason Aldean hit My Kinda Party. Then he signed a record deal with Big Machine's Valory label. He released an EP in 2012 produced by Jay Joyce who had worked with Eric Church and others. All the songs were on his 2013 debut album It Goes Like This. He also worked with Jason Aldean's producer Michael Knox and Luke Laird who has worked with Carrie Underwood. Hit singles were It Goes Like This, Make Me Wanna and Get Me Some Of That. For his 2015 album Tangled Up, Rhett worked with session guitarist Dann Huff and songwriter Jason Frasure. Both guys come from Contemporary Christian Music. What Rhett is looking for is a more mature sound as he was starting a family. The album was certified Platinum and Die A Happy Man was his first number one country single. He continued to evolve with the 2017 album Life Changes as Rhett and his wife now had two daughters. And that's what the album is about. Rhett continues to work with Huff and Frasure. Rhett and Frasure wrote most of the songs together including Marry Me which was written by Rhett, Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally. He also sometimes writes with his dad. Rhett is currently on tour. I expect new music once the tour is finished. Thomas Rhett is already a big star and he will be around a long time Here's the video for Marry Me by Thomas Rhett.
