Artist:Bethel Music
Song:Raise a Hallelujah
Album:Peace
Bethel Music started out as a local church ministry in Redding, CA and have grown to be a very successful music ministry. They release so much music it almost seems like a factory. But the faithful Praise & Worship (P&W) fans eat this stuff up. Bethel Church minister Bill Johnson started his music ministry in 2001. But they seemed to get serious in 2009 and first recorded in 2010. They release everything on their own Bethel Music label with Sony distribution. In recent years they have been very successful on the Christian charts. The 2019 single Raise a Hallelujah topped the Christian Airplay chart. It's from the 2019 album Victory. Like most of Bethel Music's albums, Victory was recorded live at the church in Redding. And it was taped too. As you can see in the video, they have a professional setup. They aren't messing around. Ed Cash produced the music. He has produced CCM artists for over twenty years. Raise a Hallelujah was written and performed by Jonathan David Helser and his wife Melissa Helser. They are from Sophia, NC and they joined Bethel Music in 2013. In addition to songs they have written for Bethel Music, the Helsers have released albums under their own names. I guess that's a good way to get them to stay. I am sure talent has left in the past. Victory is out of print. They recorded a studio version of Raise a Hallelujah on the 2020 album Peace and that is available. Peace is rerecorded versions of past hits. As I have said before, I am not a fan of this kind of music. But P&W fans will eagerly lap it up. Here's the video for Raise a Hallelujah by Bethel Music.
