AccuRadio Song Of The Day-Easton Corbin

Artist:Easton Corbin
Song:A Little More Country Than That
Album:Easton Corbin

Easton Corbin hit a home run his first time out when his 2010 single A Little More Country Than That topped the Country Singles chart. Corbin will appeal to those who like new country music to sound like old country music. He is frequently compared to George Strait. He was born Apr. 12, 1982 in Trenton, FL and he was raised on his grandparents' farm after his parents divorced. They were big country music fans and Corbin watched Hee Haw and Grand Ole Opry with them. After he was taught to play guitar by session musician Pee Wee Melton, he joined a band and played gigs locally. After earning an Agribusiness degree at the University of Florida and getting married, Corbin and his wife moved to Nashville. He worked at Ace Hardware during the day. Corbin was spotted by Mercury Nashville A & R director Joe Fisher and signed a record deal in 2009. Carson Chamberlain was assigned to produce Corbin's debut CD. Chamberlain has produced several Mercury artists including Billy Currington. Easton Corbin was released Mar. 2010 and reached #4 on the Country Album chart and #10 on the Billboard Hot 200. A Little More Country Than That topped the Country Singles chart. Though Corbin writes some of his own songs, A Little More Coluntry Than That was written by Rory Lee Feek of the husband wife duo Joey + Rory along with Don Poythress and Wynn Varble. His second single Roll With It also topped the Country Singles chart. Corbin toured with Brad Paisley. His second CD All Over The Road was released Sept. 2012 and has also done well. He is currently on tour. Here's the video for A Little More Country Than That by Corbin Easton.
