Womens Pro Wrestling DIANE unveils 14 year old rookie Sari Fujimura

Sari Fujimura
You may recall that when Kyoko Inoue's new joshi company Women's Pro Wrestling DIANE held their opening press conference a few weeks ago, two trainees were in attendance. So they had a media event at the World Arena yesterday to celebrate the graduation of one of those two trainees. Her name is Sari Fujimura. She was born Mar. 31, 1996 in Itabashi prefecture in Tokyo. So by the time she debuts she will be 15 years old. Her height is 5'1" and she weighs about 105lb. She's a little small to be a pro wrestler. As we have seen with Nagisa Nozaki, being too easy to toss around can be a problem. So I hope they get her to pump some iron and put on twenty pounds. It's a problem already because she suffered a lower back injury a couple of days ago but agreed to go through the test anyway. Yikes! As I'm sure a lot of fans are aware, several joshi wrestlers have been trained by retired New Japan wrestler Animal Hamaguchi. But I think Sari is the first wrestler to be trained by Kyoko Hamaguchi. Kyoko is the daughter of Animal Hamaguchi and she is an award winning amateur wrestler and won a Bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics. Sari has been training since July. Sari also trained extensively with Kaoru Ito protege Ayako Sato. Sari did 1000 squats to pass the test and then Kyoko Inoue announced that Sari will have her lower back examined at the hospital. They think she has a broken traverse process bone. So hopefully it's not serious and Sari will debut in April.
