Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Will RENA ever do MMA?
In case you didn't already know, RENA won yesterday's SHOOT BOXING S-Girls Cup for the second year in a row. I don't like the product so I don't usually write about it. And I also thought this year's tournament had some shady judging. No one understands the rules anyway so I guess thay can get away with that stuff. But I do get asked about RENA because let's face facts. She's a very pretty teenager. And she's good at Shoot Boxing but fans want to know if she will ever try MMA. So RENA faced the media today carrying both belts. You'll notice she's wearing an eye patch. She says it didn't start swelling until she returned to the hotel. She also injured her right shoulder, a black left eye and possible broken nose and and a foot injury when she kicked Kate Martinez. RENA will see a doctor when she gets home to Osaka. She says that being the SHOOT BOXING ace carries a lot of pressure and she was afraid of losing her position if she lost. This anxiety reached a peak during the final against Ai Takahashi. Sometimes fear is a motivator. RENA says she plans to be in next year's S-Girls Cup and her next SHOOT BOXING match is scheduled for November. When asked about other activities, she says she is interested in kickboxing and also fighting overseas. A lot of fighters say they want to fight overseas but don't mean it. I guess they think they have to say something. She said nothing about MMA and I don't believe she is interested in MMA. And I doubt that SB owner Takeshi Caesar would allow her to do it anyway. Just because she's an ace in SHOOT BOXING doesn't mean she would be an ace elsewhere. It's a different product and who knows if she can adapt to other things.
