Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Olympic bronze medallist Randi Miller to face HIROKO at Aug. 29 SHOOT BOXING show
So SHOOT BOXING has finally found an opponent for JEWELS fighter HIROKO on their Aug. 29 Crystal Palaced show. The idea was for HIROKO to try Shoot Boxing. But it became apparent a couple of weeks ago that they were having trouble finding an opponent. When they announced Nanae Takahashi's participation, I thought HIROKO might be the opponent because they couldn't find an opponent for her either and now they've got Takahashi doing an exhibition with Fuuka. But now they have found an opponent but it's not Shoot Boxing and it's not MMA either. The opponent is 2008 Olympic Women's Wrestling bronze medallist Randi Miller. It will be a special Vale Tudo match and I didn't notice a weight class so I assume it's Open Weight. Randi's medal was at 63kg. A couple of weeks ago, MMA Junkie reported that Randi is currently training for MMA at H.I.T. Squad in Granite City, IL which is also the home of Matt Hughes. She's certainly an interesting opponent for HIROKO but I will repeat that it is not an MMA match and will not count towards a pro record. I can only assume that Randi isn't ready to turn pro.
