Hotta wants Punt The Clown II

Though there were two title matches on JWP's Dec. 28 Korakuen Hall show, the whole thing was overshadowed by Yumiko Hotta's antics and the aftermath. First, JWP owner Commando Bolshoi announced yesterday that Aska Ohki has quit joshi puroresu. Her real name is Kaori Ohki. She debuted in 2006 but has been out all year with serious health issues and is unable to return. The big match on the show was the street fight between Yumiko Hotta & Arisa Nakajima. Hotta won as expected because Bolshoi wants to prolong the angle. Hotta pulled every dirty trick in the book. KAZUKI interfered and hepled drag Nakajima to the floor. Hotta used her chain to strangle Nakajima. Nakajima came back and even got a couple of near falls but Hotta wrapped a belt around Nakajima's throat and choked her to sleep at 14:23. Things got very heated afterwards between WANTED & JWP. It started with Hotta & Nakajima yakking and then Bolshoi joined in. Of course everyone knows about the famous Punt The Clown incident back in the day. So I think it's a very good idea for Bolshoi to play off that and a match between the two has been announced.

There were no surprises in either of the title matches. Toshie Uematsu & Ran YuYu defended the JWP/Daily Sports Tag Team Titles over Misae Genki & Kei'to when Ran used the Fire Valley on Kei'to at 16:16. With Genki retiring in a few days, there was simply no suspense in this match. I believe this was originally intended for the injured Tsubasa Kuragaki and Genki agreed to fill in. Kayoko Haruyama defended the JWP Open Weight Title over Tojuki Leon with the Keene Hammer at 21:54. Apparently a spirited match but I don't think anyone expected Leon to win. Haruyama has had a big year and is the likely wrestler of the year in the joshi business. She has delivered main event quality performances consistently this year and has earned her spot on the card. Commando Bolshoi beat Devil Masami in her final JWP match when she countered the Fire Valley with a rollup at 8:54. Sachie Abe returned from eye surgery in a comedy match. She teamed with KAZUKI & Megumi Yabushita over Kaori Yoneyama, Sakura Emi & Aoi Kizuki. Abe won over Kizuki with the Majistral cradle at 8:47. There was a young wrestler time waster with Hiroyo Matsumoto & Misaki Ohata over Pinkie Mayuca & Yukari Ishino when Matsumoto used a backdrop suplex on Mayuca at 13:58. There was also a tag team match teasing a possible Meiko Satomura/Azumi Hyuga matchup. Hyuga teamed with Carlos Amano to win over Satomura & Chikayo Nagashima when Hyuga used a diving knee to the back of Satomura's head at 15:05. Bolshoi has a bad habit of endlessly teasing big matches so it's anybody's guess when Satomura/Hyuga will happen. Hell, we're still waiting for a Hyuga/Tamura rematch.
