Ariane Lipski vs Molly McCann added to June 22 UFC show

Peter Carroll of MMA Fighting reported this morning that Ariane Lipski vs Molly McCann has been added to UFC on ESPN+ 12 June 22 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC. This fight will be at Flyweight. Both fighters champs outside the UFC. Ariane is 25 years old from Curitiba, Brazil but she trains at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, CA. Her record is 11-4. She's a former KSW champ. So I think fans were really looking forward to seeing her in the UFC. So I think there were plenty of disappointed fanboys when she lost her UFC debut to Joanne Calderwood in January. Ariane did not look good at all. Molly is 28 years old from Liverpool, England. Her record is 8-2. She lost her UFC debut to Gillian Robertson. But she won over Priscila Cachoeira in March. She's a former Cage Warriors champ. Both fighters are mainly strikers. It remains to be seen if either fighter amounts to anything. And I'm not sure that having them fight each other will tell us anything. It just shows that the competition level in the UFC is a big leap from anyplace. And maybe the UFC should have started them off with lower level opponents.
