British actress Fiona Hendley had success on the London stage and TV in the 80s. She retired from acting to be a minister. She appeared in the 1993 London production of the Broadway musical City Of Angels. She was born in Surrey, England in 1959. She first appeared on British TV in the late 70s. Then she appeared in the ITV series Widows. This show was created by Prime Suspect creator Lynda LaPlante. The show was so successful there was a 1985 sequel. At the same time Fiona appeared in stage productions of A Beggar's Opera, Guys and Dolls and Kiss Me Kate. And she appeared in the 1985 production of Randy Newman's Trouble In Paradise. City Of Angels is a musical tribute to Film Noir written by Cy Coleman, David Zippel and Larry Gelbart. The 1989 Broadway production starred David Naughton. Of course it's not unusual for successful Broadway shows to turn up in London. And Fiona was in the 1993 production. The original cast album is available as a budget CD. After that Fiona retired from acting. She has been married to Manfred Mann lead singer Paul Jones since 1984. They do evangelistic speaking tours.
