Anton "Zedd" Zaslavski is a producer who has scored three top ten pop hits using guest singers like the popular Canadian singer Alessia Cara. Stay was never released on an album so it's a little tricky to find on CD. He was born Sept. 2, 1989 in Saratov, Russia but he grew up in Kaiserslauten, Germany. Both of his parents are music teachers. Zaslavski is a classically trained musician. He was in the deathcore band Dioramic from 2002-2010. Then he heard the French electronic duo Justice and decided to get into remixes. His remix of Skillrex's Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites was his first chart success in Europe and that led to remixes for Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and others. After releasing a couple of his own singles, Zaslavski signed with Interscope in 2012. He released his debut album Clarity. The single Clarity featuring Foxes reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100. He produced Ariana Grande's 2014 top five hit Break Free. Zaslavski continued to produce for other artists. But he wouldn't return to the top ten himself until the 2017 single Stay which reached #7 on the Billboard Hot 100. It features Alessia Cara but it isn't on any of her albums. Though Stay was written for the 2017 film Everything, Everything, there was no soundtrack album. The only way to get Stay on CD is on various artists comps like this one from Sony Canada. Zaslavski should have a new album out soon. A single from that album The Middle featuring Maren Morris reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was nominated for three Grammys.
