Gospel music fans will remember Ted Winn from the popular duo Ted & Sheri. Since they split up, Winn has started his own label with Shanachie distribution. Winn is from Memphis. He took piano lessons as a child. After graduating from Overton Creative and Performing Arts High School, he joined the US Air Force. Upon his return in 1995, he joined Kevin Davidson and the Voices of Binghampton. That's where he met Sheri Jones-Moffett. At the same time, Winn was singing with Richard Smallwood and attending Morehouse College. Ted & Sheri released two successful albums and then both went solo. Sheri has recorded two albums for Motown Gospel. Winn started his own label Teddys Jamz with Shanachie distribution. More is from his 2017 album Stand in Awe. It's done very well on the gospel charts. Myron Butler produced the album. Though Winn writes a lot of his own songs and has a lot of success writing for others, More was written by Lawrence Flowers of the group Lawrence Flowers and Intercession. Winn also started managing other artists and songwriters and his songs continue to be recorded by Youthful Praise, Marvin Sapp and plenty of others.
