Big Bad Blog Video Theater-Valentina Shevchenko vs Priscila Cachoeira

Here's the match video of Valentina Shevchenko vs Priscila Cachoeira from last night's UFC show in Brazil. This was at Flyweight. Unfortunately, it was a bad mismatch with Mario Yamasaki's usual terrible reffing. He is notorious for late stoppages. Priscila was supposed to make her UFC debut at on the TUF 26 finale but she had visa problems. She is mainly a striker. Valentina quickly neutralized that by taking her down and pounding her. This fight probably should have been stopped in round one. And Priscila blew out her knee during round one and her corner could have stopped the fight. She was getting killed. Why send her back out? So where did they find Priscila? She's a teammate of Jessica Andrade. They needed a Brazilian Flyweight for this show. And as Dana White explained, it's a new division. But she should have been on the prelims, not the main card. That was the UFC's big mistake. The problems with Yamasaki are nothing new. He's been incompetent for years and nothing has been done. I doubt anything will be done now. Now Valentina wants a Flyweight title shot. The problem is Nicco Montano had foot surgery and her return is unknown. My guess is late summer. So Valentina might want to take another fight to keep active. Check out the video for yourself.
