Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Aspen Ladd vs Leslie Smith added to Apr. 21 UFC show
This morning it was confirmed that Aspen Ladd vs Leslie Smith has been added to UFC Fight Night 128 Apr. 21 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. This fight was first reported last month. I was waiting for a location and date. I really like Aspen Ladd. She's 22 years old and she trains at MMA Gold in El Dorado Hills, CA. She went 5-0 in Invicta and then she won her UFC debut over Lina Lansberg in Oct. She didn't look very good in round one. But then her coach Jim West yelled at her between rounds and told her to go out and finish the fight. And that's exactly what she did. You gotta know I like that. And she's finished five of her six fights. Leslie is a veteran so she is certainly a step up in competition. Leslie is 35 years old and she trains at Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Lodi, CA. That means she's a Diaz sister. Her record is 10-7-1 and she's 4-3 in the UFC. There's no question she is game for anything including getting beat up by Cris Cyborg. But she's not an elite fighter. Leslie is a striker with no power or ground game. She did win by TKO in her last fight over an opponent who came in on short notice and ran out of gas in round two. But I don't see her having much luck against Aspen who should vault up the rankings if she wins in a decisive way.
