Rose Namajunas vs Angela Hill added to Oct. 3 UFC show

Rose Namajunas
The Houston Chronicle reported today that Rose Namajunas vs Angela Hill has been added to UFC 192 Oct. 3 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Rose looked really good in the TUF 20 house but fell flat when she lost to Carla Esparza in the UFC Strawweight Championship title match on the TUF 20 Finale. Of course the problem was there was a four month lag time between the TUF 20 semi finals and the finale. So she had plenty of time to psych herself out. Not to mention the added pressure of UFC president Dana White declaring her as the breakout star of TUF 20. Rose was supposed to fight Nina Ansaroff a while back. But Nina missed weight and then she got sick and the fight was scrapped. So I'm sure Rose is very anxious to get back in there. Rose is only 23 years old so I think she has potential. I like her aggression and her ground game. The only thing I don't like about her is she has a bad habit of thinking too much and psyching herself out. She's her own worst enemy. Angela is a one dimensional kickboxer with no ground game. She didn't do well in TUF but she won her fight on the TUF Finale. She lost her last fight to Tecia Torres in Mexico. Neither fighter looked very good. She can win if she lands punches. But Rose should be able to beat her by taking her down. Angela is useless on the ground. I expect this fight to air on the UFC 192 prelims.

  1. Her own worst enemy? Sounds a lot like myself at times. I hope she wins this one. UFC 192? Cool will have to watch the Prelims. Thanks for your insight Frank.
