Normally the press conferences for Japanese companies are in the morning. But on this occasion, SHOOT BOXING owner Takeshi Caesar had his press conference Tuesday evening to announce the first match for the 2011 S-Girls Cup Aug. 19 at SHIBUYA-AX. It will be current SHOOT BOXING Flyweight Champion Ai Takahashi facing WPMF & WMC Flyweight Kickboxing Champion. Erika Kamimura. 18 year old Kamimura has become quite the sensation in Japan. And Takahashi has proven to be a very tough fighter. She recently won that belt from RENA. The contracted weight will be 50.5kg and is scheduled for three three minute rounds with possible overtime. Because Takahashi is tall, Caesar had to work out a compromise for the weight. The match will be the standard SHOOT BOXING rules. Kamimura has never done SHOOT BOXING before and Takahashi hopes to exploit that. But Kamimura has been practicing throws and she says she's a quick learner. This could be very interesting.
