Sakura Nomura, Kim Ji Yun |
JEWELS announced today an MMA match and a kickboxing match added to the Mar. 11 Shijuku FACE show. In a match contracted for 58kg, Sakura Nomura will face Kim Ji Yun. Nomura trains at CB Impact and is a protege of retired DEEP Lightweight Champ MIKU. Her record is 3-1 and she lost to Ayaka Hamasaki on the Dec. 17 JEWELS show. Kim is a Korean boxer making her MMA debut. She trains at Team Posse affiliated with CMA Korea. Her boxing record is 6-2 with 3 KOs. She debuted in June 2007 and has been to Japan before. She was part of the Mar. 2010 OBPF Super Featherweight tournament and lost. She obviously has punching power and the JEWELS rules favours fighters who have good boxing skills. As you can see by the pic, she's an attractive girl and she's only 21 years old. Maybe JEWELS is looking for the new Ham Seo Hee. The other match is kickboxing with Miku Hayashi vs A tin. It's the kind of filler match added after the card is complete. Neither fighter is very experienced. Unless JEWELS does something at the last minute, it doesn't look like HIROKO will be on this show. I heard rumblings of an opponent for her but I don't think it materialized.
