Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Cyborg vs Coenen cancelled
As expected, the Feb. 27 fight between Cristiane Cyborg & Marloes Coenen for XMMA in Montreal has been cancelled. Of course Cyborg signed with Strikeforce last week and is expected to appear on their Apr. 11 show on Showtime. The official reason as reported by Scott White of Canadian MMA website TKO Extreme is that Cyborg suffered a shoulder injury while training. Uh huh. No one is buying that. After Cyborg signed last week, XMMA's Joey Benoit opened his yap and claimed she was still on the show. Did Chute Boxe lie to him? Possibly. It's more likely that Strikeforce forked over some cash to XMMA and the shoulder injury was fabricated so Benoit doesn't look like an idiot to fans in Montreal. Japan isn't the only place where people try to save face. I expected this so the announcement is more laughable than anything else.
