Gospel artist Anthony Faulkner has got some talent but he's trying to release his music indepenently and that's a long road to hoe. He's also done some acting but it looks like music is his main interest. He got into the music business through Angela Winbush. She had a #1 R & B hit in 1987 with Angel but has turned to writing, producing and teaching in recent years. She was Faulkner's voice coach and got him work as a backup singer. Meanwhile he also got some acting work in The Shield and other things. He sang backup on a Yolanda Adams Christmas album and this got him a foreign tour with gospel legend Andrae Crouch. He produced an album for the Oslo Soul Children and also worked with choir leader Ricky Grundy. At this point, he decided to produce his own music and started his own company 7th Chapter. Faith was released in England in 2004 and finally got US distribution in 2007. He writes and produces his own songs so he's got talent. But it remains to be seen if he can distinguish himself enough from other gospel artists to be successful. And as I said, it's difficult to self distribute. But at least he's done a video for the song Faith. Just to warn you, the video cuts off after three minutes and Faulkner posted it on Youtube himself so I suspect it's an error on his part and I didn't see the video anywhere else.
