Well, the cancellation of the Sept. 22 ShoXC show really put a monkey wrench into EliteXC's plans for Cristiane Cyborg. Loretta Hunt of Sherdog confirmed last week that the Cristiane Cyborg vs Yoko Takahashi match has been moved to the Oct. 4 EliteXC show. So fans started asking me if the match will be on the CBS show with the Gina Carano vs Kelly Kobald. I figured the Cyborg/Takahashi match will be on the preshow which will be broadcast on Showtime in the US and The Fight Network in Canada. Jared Shaw of EliteXC has confirmed that to Sam Caplan of Five Ounces Of Pain. He said they hope to show the match on the CBS show on a tape delay. Trust me. They won't have the time. The main reason to do this is to keep the focus on Gina for the CBS show and it is good promotional strategy to NOT put them on the same show until they face each other.
defshepard here, You are right Frank, it does make for good promotional strategy on their part. At this point I just want to see the fight between Gina and Kelly Kobold!!
