Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

OZ Academy announces #1 contender tournament
On Tuesday, OZ Academy announced a #1 contender tournament for Carlos Amano's OZ Academy Championship. Like we need another tournament. But this one actually feeds into the current storyline. Mayumi Ozaki announced that she is producing the tournament. Doesn't she own the company? Yeah but Amano is the Principal in the angle. The tournament will have twelve wrestlers divided into two blocks. Block A has Mayumi Ozaki, Aja Kong, Takako Inoue, AKINO, Hiroyo Matsumoto & Tomoka Nakagawa. Block B has Chikayo Nagashima, Sonoko Kato, Manami Toyota, KAORU, Ran YuYu & Hiren. It will be a round robin tournament beginning on Sept. 11 and running until Nov. 24. The final will be Dec. 14. They didn't say when the title match will be held. The winner of each match gets 2 points, draw gets 1 point and no points for a loss. The rules of these matches really benefits D-Fix. There will be a ten minute time limit. In addition to pinfall and submission, a match can be won by throwing an opponent over the top rope. Huh? Outside interference will be allowed. Who does that favour? Weapons will be allowed unless the ref determines the weapon to be too dangerous. Huh? And no count outs. The over the top rope rule makes absolutely no sense. Carlos Amano just stood there with her arms crossed and said nothing. Ozaki will announce the rules for the tournament final later. I expect Ozaki to win this tournament. Otherwise, what's the point?
