Memo to GAMI:Stop running weekday shows

Pro Wrestling WAVE ran Shin-kiba 1st Ring on June 4 and called it Weekday WAVE Vol. 6. They only drew 77 fans so I guess GAMI hasn't figured out that she should stop running weekday shows. She even posted an online coupon on her blog. I guess that didn't help either. It appears the plan is to have a feud between long time tag team partners Toshie Uematsu & Ran YuYu. I see two problems with this. The feud doesn't mean anything anywhere else. Of course the other problem is GAMI likes to turn everything into a gag even when she shouldn't do that.

The opener of this show had GAMI teaming with Moeka Haruhi against Shuu Shibutani & Kana. Shibutani & Kana were feuding before but I guess they're friends now. Shibutani & Haruhi begin with a test of strength. Shibutani hit a suicide dive from the top rope to the floor. She tags Kana in and Kana tosses Haruhi around. Shibutani is back in and applies a rear chinlock. So Haruhi is getting clobbered as she has since she returned. After a kick and a dropkick, Kana applies a single boston crab and then they both stomp Haruhi's left leg. GAMI finally comes in to help and holds Shibutani for Haruhi's forearm smash. After Haruhi hits a couple of dropkicks, she's double teamed and Shibutani hits a missile dropkick. They continue to double team her until GAMI comes in and hits Shibutani with her megaphone. Shibutani misses a diving foot stamp and GAMI hits a power bomb. Haruhi & Kana are back in and Haruhi does a little better with a short arm scissors. But Kana hits a German suplex. Kana gets control of GAMI but Haruhi breaks up the pin. GAMI get Kana in an armbar. Shibutani tries to break it up but is put in an abdominal stretch by Haruhi. GAMI hits a frog splash on Kana but Shibutani's missile dropkick from behind allows Kana to win with the Billyken at 18:33. GAMI and Haruhi chatted afterwards. Maybe that will go somewhere.

Next up is Cherry vs JWP rookie Pinkie Mayuca. After some feeling out, Mayuca traps Cherry in the corner. But Cheery comes back with a reverse whip into the corner followed by a flying kick followed by a reverse chinlock and a body scissors. Mayuca escapes and gets her in a camel clutch. Cherry comes back with a lariat and a missile dropkick. After kneeing Mayuca, she whips her into the ropes but Mayuca hits a cross body and rolls her up for two. Cherry gets her in a dragon sleeper. Mayuca plants her with a body slam followed by a top rope splash and a sunset flip for two. Cherry reverses for two. Mayuca hits a missile dropkick but Cherry pins her with the Spring Night Love at 9:57. So what is that? It's another rollup pin, this time from the side. Cherry's variations on rollup pins has become a running gag in WAVE.

Next is Ayako Sato vs Misaki Ohata. Sato starts with an armbar and some stomps. Ohata comes back with a dropkick followed by an armbar. Sato gets out of it and stomps Ohata in the corner. She tosses her, hits her with a butt bump. But Ohata goes back to the arm. Ohata tries a cross body but is caught and Sato hits a dropkick. She goes to the top but Ohata pulls her down. Ohata hits a top rope splash and rolls her up for two. Sato reverses for two. Sato hits a missile dropkick and rolls her up for two. Then a German suplex and Sato wins at 10:34.

The main event has Toshie Uematsu & Sayuri Okino off LLPW against Ran YuYu & Yumi Ohka. The story is Uematsu & Ran aren't getting along lately. Okino attacks Ohka with a kendo stick and rushes at her in the corner. But Ohka gets her foot up and Ran tags in. Uematsu attacks her from behind and then Okino beats her up. Ohka tags in and hits a dropkick. But then Uematsu tags in and beats on her and gets her in a camel clutch. She continues to rough up Ohka, tags to Okino and they double team her with chokes. Ohka finally hits a couple of double dropkicks but Okino ties her up in the ropes and hangs her in the tree of woe. Ran tags in and gets Uematsu in a single leg crab. She whips her into their corner and Uematsu is double teamed. Ran conyinues to punish Uematsu. But she gets caught in the tree of woe while attempting a release suplex from the top. Okino hits a frog splash on Ran. Ran comes back with a vertical suplex. Okino goes to the top for a splash but Ohka knocks her off. Then Ran tries the same and she gets knocked off by Uematsu. Ohka gets the upper hand on Okino with a high kick but Okino counters with the kendo stick. Ohka hits a backdrop suplex for two. then a missile dropkick for two. She goes to the top but Okino catches her in a suplex and follows with a top rope splash. Okino sprays her with the mist and wins with the Michinoku Driver II at 19:29. Ran didn't seem too happy with Ohka afterwards. We'll see where they go with the Ran/Uematsu feud.
