Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Sabina Mazo vs JJ Aldrich added to Jan. 18 UFC show
Sabina Mazo vs JJ Aldrich has been added to UFC 246 Jan. 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It doesn't look like this fight was ever announced but ESPN posted the full card on Twitter and this was on that. This fight will be at Flyweight. Sabina is 22 years old from Colombia but she trains at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, CA. Her record is 7-1 and 1-1 in the UFC. She is a former LFA Flyweight Champion. In the LFA she scored a couple of head kick KOs. But at the higher competition level in the UFC, it's unlikely she can do the stuff she did in the LFA. She was supposed to fight on next week's Korea show but her opponent pulled out. JJ is 27 years old from Denver. she trains at Trevor Wittman's 303 Training Center. She's a teammate of Rose Namajunas. Her record is 8-3 and 4-2 in the UFC. She appeared in TUF 23 and after one Invicta fight, she came to the UFC in 2016 as a late replacement. She's a points fighter but she's really good at it due to Wittman's coaching. But can she make that strategy work for three rounds? And that's the big question in this fight which is why JJ is a good test for Sabina.
