The UFC announced yesterday at a Q&A session in Prague, Czech Republic that UFC on ESPN+ 7 will be Apr. 20 at the Yubileyniy Arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia. One of the announced fights is Antonina Shevchenko vs Roxanne Modafferi at Flyweight. Of course Antonina is the older sister of UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Obviously they are very similar. Both are kickboxers. Having seen Antonina twice, I don't think she is as good as Valentina. She's kind of a carbon copy. Antonina does a lot of the same things as Valentina but not as well. I suppose she could improve but she's already 34 years old with only seven fights. So I have my doubts about her. Roxanne should be a good test for her. There was a time when Roxanne wouldn't punch anyone. But John Wood of Syndicate MMA has broken her of that stupid habit. Finally she made it to the UFC through TUF 26. She's 1-2 in the UFC and she lost her last fight to Sijara Eubanks. At 36 years old she's probably as good as she will ever be. But she's a step up in competition level than Antonina's previous opponents. So this fight could tell us if Antonina is any good.My next fight 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 April 20th #UFCSaintPetersburg

Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.
